I’m the owner and lead designer here at Hazy Blooms!

Growing up on the coast of South Devon, England, summers were spent with salty air, sandy toes, and long walks on clifftop paths, with the Atlantic stretching out on one side and wildflowers dancing on the other. It gave me such a deep sense of home, something so grounding yet so freeing and radiant in the haze of summer. This is the feeling I aim to capture in my floral designs: wild, serene, and full of soul.

Now based in Arizona where the desert has its own unique and untamed energy, I am so excited to blend the sunny vibes of the desert with my coastal roots to bring more inspiration into my design work. No matter the occasion, big or small, energetic or chill, halfway up a cliff or under night skies, I am always up for the challenge to bring floral visions to life.

Dreamy Florals with a conscience

Here at Hazy Blooms we make it a priority to reduce our environmental footprint wherever we can. Not only do we purchase a coral per event to help the earth’s health, we aim to make eco-conscious choices in our every day practices too.

Don’t get us wrong, the floral world is absolutely stunning and full of creativity but, let’s be real, its environmental impact often gets brushed under the rug! Thankfully, as more people become aware of the damage caused by single-use plastic and microplastics, we are seeing a shift toward greener design methods. We are on a mission to swap out harmful practices with healthier, more sustainable alternatives, and reuse what we can along the way!

While many flowers in Arizona are only available from outside the US, we try our best to find local flower farmers and to use seasonal blooms, this guarantees stronger stems, more vibrant colors, and a more unique season-based themes. We also make an effort to steer clear of plastic-heavy mechanics and floral foam when possible, experimenting with new foam-free mechanics when we can.

While we might not be able to go 100% plastic free in our day-to-day designing, we understand that we can still create a positive impact through Hazy Blooms. As we grow, we hope to develop partnerships and friendships that can help us on our way- so stay tuned!
